Started as Senior Developer and promoted to Technical Team Leader. Continuing the development of legacy ground transportation management systems that work both as Windows Forms and ASP.NET web applications. Using a combination of C# and VB.NET to continue business operations globally. Bringing a consumer element to the existing business to business operation with the development of a public facing taxi booking portal with integrated payment providers. This platform being whitelabel and used by several household names. In addition to development of the legacy systems I am responsible for source control using Subversion and Git for programming code and Red-Gate for Microsoft SQL Server version control. Subversion is being migrated to TFS with git to optimise workflow and development time. Working on the Android and iOS development projects to bring a zero-touch approach to ground transportation. Taking the Technical Team Leader involves workshops to train less experienced staff both on my team and across the company. A key part of my role is communicating business requirements through Agile methodologies. In addition to using Agile methodologies I also employ elements of SCRUM including Stand-Up Meetings to review development. Extreme Programming by performing Peer Review of code and Pair Programming to ensure that our rigorous code standards are adhered to. Involved heavily in the planning and architectural stages of a replacement for the legacy system. Including data discovery and requirements gathering. Managing the security for existing and future platforms and implementing ISO 27001. Working with external security contractors to provide a 360 view of security.

A young keen Software Developer with over 10 years of experience working both independently and as part of a multi faceted team. With a real passion for developing new systems and enhancing existing. I am an excellent communicator and work with others to achieve goals to deadlines and within budget.  I have been an active staff member of several development and IT related online fora including I have created my own personal web page in valid HTML 5.0 with valid CSS 3.0 with associated Android Application with a newly integrated Magento store for selling both digital and physical products as well as a heavily self-modified WordPress self-hosted blog with associated Android Application that is currently being migrated to Octopress. In addition to this I have also contributed to various open source projects including phpBB, Bitcoin, Litecoin and Octopress on Github. I have worked with several local businesses to improve their ecommerce platforms with migrations to different ecommerce platforms such osCommerce, Zen Cart and Magento.

I love to

Solve problems with new thought patterns and think of abstract concepts. Research new technology and contribute suggestions to open source projects. Watching movies and listening to music. My favourite movie is Dr. Strangelove and my favourite band is Nine Inch Nails.

I hate to

Surrender. I've never found a problem I can't fix, and I never hope to. I also dislike cheese.
